No More Japan Drama!

Japan is suffering but all I saw on the social network today was some stupid bitch posting stupid video about how good lowercase-god is... Pearl Harbor karma comments made by professional athletes and the Aflac duck... and everyone else's angry reactions... I mean... really? Japan's gone to shit and we are creating "drama" on the internet... well, because this is my blog and I can say this loud and clear... EFF YOU DRAMA!

Do you know what I did instead of creating drama? I went to Little Tokyo over the weekend and had a nice Japanese dinner with my wife.

I try not to recommend too many people to this joint... simply because I would hate myself forever if one of my favorite restaurants gets too crowded and I have to wait in long line to get seated.  And If you do decided to give this place a try, remember to invite me and Beth :)

Let's not create any more drama ok?

快炒 street quick stir-fry

快炒 street quick stir-fry is a type of street restaurant you can find anywhere here in Taiwan. The layout of the restaurant is very simple, white walls, small tables and stools. Once you order your food they start cooking for you... stir-fry style! This type of restaurant is really cheap and fast! So if you don't feel like cooking at home or you are on our way home from work... you can easily swing by one of these quick stir-fry restaurants for a quick bite!

So, what do they have on the menu? ... everything. Seafood, red meat, white meat, vegetables, rice, noodles and more seafood! If you want, have a bottle or two of Taiwan Beer while yer at it!

First Night Market DAY ONE Part 2

Taiwan Travel Tip #002: must visit night markets!!! well... we were told that there's a night market just down the street from my aunt's house. Without any hesitation Uncle Quan volunteered to be our night market tour guide of the night and Aunt Heidy made a batch of the most colorful and yummy dumplings as our pre game before the night market!

Beth's first night market experience!

There are just so many things to see, eat, smell, eat, play and eat in this narrow street of Banqiao Destrict. If you look at photos from the slideshow below you can see how much we love squid! Squid is delicious... Along with the squid we also got bags of skewered tofu, Taiwanese tempura, chicken butt, green beans, fish balls, and yam balls... I think that's about it... but i'm sure i missed a few other things hahah

What's better than night market street food + Makers Mark?
