I Love Presents!

Sorry readers... It's been WAY too long since my last post.
Don't worry, I have lots of photos that are lining up to be posted in eatwithjoe.com!

Last week, I got two packages in the mail. One from my cousin Justine and one from my buddy Joey (JTI).

coffee and cookies

Cousin Justine thought that I need a glass mug in my life, so she mailed me one! She packaged it with handles, made it easier for the UPS guy to carry around the neighborhood.

Great gift! Thanks Couz!

My new official coffee mug! looks great with my highlighters!

Joey aka Joey the Intern, was the famous URB magazine intern... After Peace Corp, he moved to Northern California and then... he became Joey the Baker! Joey made a batch of chocolate chunk and walnut cookies and he wanted me to try some. So I ate some and it was surely delicious. Beth even said that the cookies taste like the cookies her mom would make! Good job Joey! We want MORE !!!

thanks JTI!

Easter Ham

Easter 2011 was awesome! Our dear friend Tracy was kind enough to host the Easter Potluck Dinner at her place, and she provided us hungry people... a giant ham!

I'm not sure exactly what the ham was based with... but I heard Coca Cola was involved!

bread, bun and rolls

Emily made a delicious pasta (Todd's recipe). Its got Feta, shell pasta, olives, snow peas, bell peppers and carrots!  I don't know exactly what the recipe is, but I had the same salad for lunch today and it was eff'n awesome... still!

Beth and I made sweet potato chips :)

Jake made the asparagus

I had so much fun eating the ham and all the other yummy foods, I forgot to take photos of the dessert! Well, we had vegan lemon pie, soy caramel ice cream and a giant cookie!

Again, Thank you Tracy for hosting this wonderful Easter Potluck Dinner !!!

Doubletree Cookies

These are not typical cookies, these are called the WARMERS!  If you go around and tell people that the best cookies you've ever had was from the Doubletree Hotels... well, people might think you're crazy.  But the joke is on them! because they don't know whet they're missing!

I had my doubts, but my coworkers Robert and Victor introduced me to my first ever Warmers.

I'm sure most of you guys are probably wondering... What is the proper way to eat one of these bad boys?

First you need the cookie... I found out that you can actually buy the cookies on the internet!

Click here to buy some cookies!

Once you get your Warmers, you MUST follow the 5 STEPS to perfection.

STEP 1 - Reheat the cookie at exactly 14 seconds

STEP 2 - Point at it

STEP 3 - Take a bite

STEP 4 - Make your decision...

STEP 5 - Your thumb will automatically point UPward.

Next time when you are around a Doubletree Hotel, make sure to ask the front desk for your own WARMERS !!!
